In the latest featurette, Supergirl's co-executive producer Jessica Queller and executive producer Robert Rovner preview tonight's "Resist" episode, which features Supergirl, the DEO, and Cadmus joining forces in an attempt to thwart the Daxamite invasion.
"At the end of the last episode, we saw the Daxamite invasion begin with the Daxamite super ship looming over National City," Rovner explains in the video above. "The DEO is invaded and-- Everything thing is invaded. The city is invaded. It's chaos. J'onn J'onzz is still out from what Rhea did to him at the end of the previous episode. Alex is in charge. They're trying to scramble, just trying to figure out they're going to combat this threat, and they end up turning to an unlikely ally, Lillian Luthor. Also in that episode we have the return of President Marsden, played by Lynda Carter."
Queller adds: "But my favorite part of this episode is the return of our incredible, formidable character, Cat Grant. We are so proud and we are so excited to have these three television iconcs in a showdown together: Teri Hatcher, Lynda Carter, and Calista Flockhart, battling for the future of the world"
In our slideshow below, check out a pair of "Resist" clips!
Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) grapples with whether or not to obey the President’s (guest star Lynda Carter) orders regarding Rhea’s (guest star Teri Hatcher) latest actions. Meanwhile, Cat Grant (Calista Flockhart) returns to National City.
Distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. International Television Distribution, SUPERGIRL is executive produced by Greg Berlanti (Arrow, The Flash), Ali Adler (The New Normal), Andrew Kreisberg (The Flash, Arrow) and Sarah Schechter (Blindspot, The Mysteries of Laura). Supergirl is based on the characters created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster and appearing in DC Comics, by special arrangement with the Jerry Siegel Family.
"Resist" episode of Supergirl airs tonight at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
Cat Grant Returns to CatCo
Walking alongside Winn, who is carrying a video camera, Cat Grant returns to her CatCo. The place is a mess! It was severely damaged in the previous episode when Lena Luthor and Rhea turned on their powerful portal device, triggering Marcus's powers to shake the building. However, Cat is more concerned with the way James Olsen has redecorated her office with gym equipment and sport memorabilia.
Daxamites Attack DEO
We leap right in the middle of the action as this clip begins. Daxamite soldiers have teleported into the DEO headquarters and immediately opened fire on the agents as they try to evacuate. Alex, who is in charge at the moment while Martian Manhunter is still on the sidelines after Rhea used White Martian tech on him, ducks for cover and calls her sister for help.
