Supergirl might be facing her toughest challenge as a superhero yet when she goes up against her cousin with the fate of National City hanging in the balance.
As revealed in the penultimate episode’s shocking twist leading into the finale, Rhea has Kara’s cousin Kal El under her control and it’s going to take all of this Supergirl’s might to take down the champion of Metropolis.
But she might have to contend with Mark Gibbon’s General Zod who is set to make his debut on the program in the finale. All of this plus the returning Cat Grant (Calista Flockhart) in what is promising to be the most entertaining episodes of the season.
Mon El’s mother is on a rampage and its up to Supergirl to stop her. The photos seem to indicate a heart-to-heart moment for the lovebirds, but that could be bittersweet with dire ramifications.
And it looks like Kara and Alex take a trip to the Fortress of Solitude. Are they going on vacation or just picking up a deus ex machina?
Will find out in Supergirl’s second season finale, “Nevertheless, She Persisted,” airing next Monday on the CW.
