Most are familiar with the Lynda Carter Wonder Woman that hit television in the mid 70's, but there was a previous pilot test for the character in 1967, and it has to be seen to be believed.
Some quality footage of "Wonder Woman: Who's Afraid Of Diana Prince?" has surfaced that shows the same campy style seen in Batman's famous 60's series (via THR). While the camp itself is acceptable, the approach to Diana is pretty much the polar opposite to what fans are loving about the latest rendition of the character.
As you can see in the video above, most of the test pilot consists of the back and forth between Diana (played by Ellie Wood Walker) and her mother, played by Maudie Prickett. Whether it's not eating enough ( You can't be a decent martyr on an empty stomach") or her need for a man ("how do you expect to get a husband flying around all the time?", the message is anything but Wonder, Power, and Courage.
That's not to mention the ridiculous amount of time that Diana takes to stand in front of the mirror, gazing at herself. Throw in a flying effect that, well, you kind of need to see it to put it in proper context, so give the video a watch and see for yourself. You'll also recognize the narration from William Dozier, who also narrated the Batman series.
It sure is amazing, but perhaps in the wrong ways.

The film stars Gal Gadot (Diana Prince/Wonder Woman), Chris Pine (Steve Trevor), Robin Wright (General Antiope), Connie Nielsen (Queen Hippolyta), David Thewlis, Elena Anaya, Lucy Davis (Etta Candy), Danny Huston, Ewen Bremmer, Doutzen Kroes, Samantha Jo (Euboea), Florence Kasumba (Senator Acantha), Said Taghmaoui, Eleanor Matsuura (Epione), Emily Carey (Young Diana), and Lisa Loven Kongsli (Menalippe).
The DCEU continues with Wonder Woman opens in theaters on June 2, 2017, followed by Justice League on November 17, 2017; Aquaman on July 27, 2018; Shazam on April 5, 2019; Justice League 2 on June 14, 2019; Cyborg on April 3, 2020; and Green Lantern Corps on July 24, 2020. The Flash, The Batman, Dark Universe and Man of Steel 2 are currently without a release dates.
