Team Arrow has a new Black Canary in Dinah Drake, and her romantic status will be getting an update in season 6, though not how you might assume.
After the character's debut in season 5, Drake and Team Arrow stalwart John Diggle seemed to have intriguing chemistry. Arrow showrunner Wendy Mericle revealed to EW though that a different path is taking shape (via Heroic Hollywood).
“I would say yes for that, but I’m not going to tell you with who, because that’s a fun story we’re very excited about. Not Diggle. That’s what’s so much fun.”
Team Arrow's going to look very different this season after the big finale to season 5, so it's anyone's guess as to who that love interest could be.
That's not the only facet of Black Canary that is getting an update either, as Drake will also be getting a brand new costume. The look is a modern combination of the previous Black Canary outfits, and you can get a closer look at it here.
You can find the description for Arrow below.
