One of the most highly-anticipated characters to soon enter the DC Extended Universe is Mera, who will be brought to life by Amber Heard. But before she makes her official DCEU debut, Heard appears to be kicking back, in a new photo from the set of Aquaman.
The Instagram post, which you can see below, shows Heard kicking back on a chair and table, reading a book. The caption of the photo reads "Take 5", possibly hinting it was taken in between filming, and not just during the day's pre-production.
If the photo was, in fact, taken in between scenes, it might be providing fans with one of the first looks at Mera's expanded wardrobe in Aquaman. While Heard has already been seen shooting in her character's iconic green costume, it stands to reason that she would be wearing other 'street clothes' at some point in the film as well.
And with Heard rocking Mera's bright-red locks in the photo, it isn't out of the realm of possibility that a version of this outfit could be seen onscreen in Aquaman. Fans will just have to wait and see when Aquaman premieres on December 21st, 2018.
