5 Arrowverse Characters We Want To See More Of This Season
The CW's Arrowverse may have began with one green-hued archer, but it's roster of characters has [...]
Jesse Quick
Jesse Quick ran away with many The Flash fans' hearts when she first appeared in Season 2. The daughter of Earth-2 Harrison 'Harry' Wells (Tom Cavanagh) gradually became a full-fledged hero, getting her own speed powers after she and Wally West (Keiynan Lonsdale) were hit by a particle accelerator.
But in Season 3, Jesse only appeared in eight of the show's twenty-three episodes. Along the way, she helped out Team Flash, donned an awesome costume, and earned a love interest in Wally. But she was still absent for stretches of episodes at a time, supposedly protecting Earth-2.
With The Flash going back to basics in its upcoming fourth season, there's no reason Jesse couldn't be brought more into the fold. After all, her dad is set to be a permanent fixture of Team Flash for the time being, supposedly undergoing an epic storyline along the way. Besides, Team Flash could certainly use Jesse's five college majors in their fight against The Thinker (Neil Sandilands).

Another character who earned a costume last year - to the surprise of many fans - was Supergirl's James Olsen (Mehcad Brooks). James took saving the day into his own hands in the show's second season, taking on the mantle of Guardian.
Fans got to see his trials and tribulations of being a superhero - as well as his new job as CatCo CEO - in the first half of the season. But in the second half, James was barely featured from episode to episode - aside from the 'City of Lost Children' episode.
Many considered 'City of Lost Children' to be one of the season's standouts - meaning there are plenty of James-related stories left to tell. Whether he's helping in the fight against Reign (Odette Annable), protecting National City on a smaller scale, or just providing emotional support to Kara Danvers (Melissa Benoist), there's plenty of opportunity to see more of James in Supergirl Season 3.

Team Arrow saw plenty of new additions in the show's most recent season - but it also essentially a lot less of Thea Queen/Speedy (Willa Holland).
Oliver Queen's (Stephen Amell) younger sister has gone through quite a lot in the half a decade since Arrow began. She's evolved from kid sister to vigilante to, most recently, Oliver's chief of staff. Due to a change in Holland's contract, Thea was largely absent from the proceedings, written away as being on a a business trip for the mayor's office.
But the Season 5 episodes that she did appear in were definitely a standout. Thea - and her unusual family dynamic - was a focus of both Arrow's 100th episode and the season five finale, with very varied and interesting results. Earlier this summer, Holland hinted to ComicBook.com that she hopes to address that more in Season 6 - something we're certainly hoping for too.

Legends of Tomorrow has a unique format in place, with an addition of one or two characters a season completely changing the Waverider's dynamic. While Amaya Jiwe/Vixen (Maisie Richardson-Sellers) and Nate Heywood/Steel (Nick Zano) were welcomed additions in the show's second season, it caused characters like Jax Jackson/Firestorm (Franz Drameh) to not be as prominently featured.
Jax did get a chance to factor into Legends' main Season 2 storyline, largely during the Civil War-era episode 'Abominations' and in the four-show crossover. As was the case with James, those episodes ended up being standouts amongst fans.
Luckily, it sounds like fans could see more of Jax in Legends' upcoming third season. Drameh told ComicBook.com that his character will be at odds with his Firestorm partner, Martin Stein (Victor Garber), causing a bit of a dilemma.
prevnextJay Garrick
The arrival of the real Jay Garrick (John Wesley Shipp) was one of the biggest surprises of The Flash's second season. Garrick quickly added a unique perspective to Barry Allen/The Flash's (Grant Gustin) world - and not just because Jay is his dad's Earth-3 doppleganger.
Jay provided Barry with a much-needed dose of wisdom early on in Season 3, helping him realize the consequences of his time-traveling abilities. While those consequences went on to dominate the season (hello, Savitar), Jay's guidance was still essential - so much so that Barry took Jay's place in the Speed Force Prison.
Going into Season 4, there are plenty of outlets for Jay to really shine. Whether it's advising Wally and Jesse in Barry's absence, or providing a new angle to the team's fight against The Thinker, Jay would be a benefit to have around in a larger role. Shipp even has a few ideas for arcs his character could have, whether on Flash or in a sort of crossover with Legends.
