Suicide Squad might be over a year old, but fans are still getting new looks at the Clown Prince of Crime.
A new still of Suicide Squad's The Joker (Jared Leto) hit the Internet earlier this weekend. The photo provides a new angle to the scene where Joker tortures Dr. Harleen Quinzel (Margot Robbie), helping turn her into Harley Quinn. You can check out the still below.
The still doesn't provide too much new information about Suicide Squad, but it does add to the recent hype surrounding Leto's character. Last month, DC fans were shocked to discover that Warner Bros. and Martin Scorsese are currently developing a Joker origin movie outside of the main DC Extended Universe continuity. The film is expected to feature another actor portraying a "dark and bullied Joker", with Leonardo DiCaprio reportedly eyed for the role.
If you're confused by all of that information, don't worry. Leto revealed that he also is unsure what exactly Warner Bros. plan is, but that he's happy to play the Joker in any upcoming film.
Before any of those solo films, Leto is expected to reprise his role in Suicide Squad 2. The film is reportedly being fast-tracked by Warner Bros., with The Accountant director Gavin O'Connor recently tapped to direct. Even then, it might be a while until Suicide Squad 2 hits screens, as the production has reportedly been delayed due to the schedule of Leto's costar, Will Smith.
