Superman and facial hair has been a hot topic when it comes to Justice League and thanks to this latest piece by BossLogic this is what a bearded Man of Steel might look like in the upcoming DC Extended Universe film.
In the new image shared on BossLogic's Instagram, Henry Cavill's Superman is reimagined with a neatly groomed full beard and moustache. The hero's eyes glow red, however, and Superman appears to be wearing his black suit. You can check out this look at Superman below.
This bearded Superman is no doubt tantalizing for fans who have been wondering if Superman would appear with facial hair in Justice League or at least a moustache. Henry Cavill reported to Justice League reshoots back in August sporting a mustache as Cavill was also filming Mission: Impossible 6 at the time.
While it was assumed that the facial hair would have to be removed via expensive digital retouching -- and Cavill's Justice League costar Ben Affleck recently admitted that he kind of loved the mustache look -- fans wondered if Superman might keep the moustache and add a beard, especially since it's been teased that Cavill will don the black Superman suit for the film.
For those not familiar, a '90s DC Comics storyline saw the death and resurrection of Superman. When the Man of Steel returned from the dead, much as he is expected to in Justice League, he had longer hair, a beard, and wore a black and silver suit instead of the iconic red and blue.
While details on Superman's return in Justice League are few, this image at least lets fans know that if we do get a bearded Superman, it's going to look every bit as Super as a clean shaven one.
