Oliver is going to have his hands full this season, but Richard Dragon might be the least of his problems.

Another familiar face is returning in Arrow season 6, that being Oliver's former mentor Anatoly Knyazev. The last time these two met Oliver made his stance quite clear, but still let Anatoly get away. This time around the Russian mobster will be returning as anything but an ally, and it's going to throw Oliver for a loop.

"Anatoly has an interesting power over him that I don't know a lot of other villains — if any villain at all — has ever had," Stephen Amell told EW. "Oliver didn't kill Chase for a very specific reason, because that's what Chase wanted, but he tried to kill Malcolm, and he killed Slade once upon a time, and then put him away in prison, and then he went on this anti-killing thing, but he still killed Ra's al Ghul and still killed Damien Darhk. Anatoly is this weird grey area of a guy that he loves and respects too much."

The two met back both were prisoners of Anthony Ivo on Lian Yu, and struck up a close friendship. Queen would eventually escape and bring reinforcements to free Anatoly along with the other prisoners, and Anatoly would repay this kindness later as he attempted to rise up the ranks of the Bratva.

Their most recent encounter did not leave them on good terms though, so when he does return it will definitely cause Oliver some problems, and that's even before you factor in Slade.

While the new season will feature many returns, there is one character who isn't likely to come back, though that doesn't stop Amell from wishing it could happen. That would be Tommy Merlyn, who Amell admitted he would love to see return.

"As great as the emotional significance of him dying in the season one finale was, and as much as that impacted and sort of reverberates through the show, I really would've loved to see what happened to that character." Amell added. "Because obviously, the lore of Tommy Merlyn is that he becomes Oliver's greatest nemesis."

Arrow returns on October 12th.
