Wonder Woman may be a huge success commercially and critically, but for star Gal Gadot the response the blockbuster superhero film that meant the most was that of her own daughter.

Gadot revealed in a recent interview with 92Y in New York City (via Cinema Blend) that when reviews of Wonder Woman started rolling out it was her daughter's reaction that mattered the most to her in what was otherwise anxious moments.

"All of a sudden, Alma was sitting like this next to me, looking into my eye and jumped, hugging me," Gadot said. "And she said, 'I'm so proud of you, Mommy.'"

Her daughter's pride and the success of Wonder Woman must be extra meaningful for Gadot. The actress had considered quitting acting around the time the Wonder Woman opportunity came up. Now quitting is the last thing on her mind, with Justice League coming out next month and Wonder Woman 2 already in the works. Instead, Gadot says that her biggest challenge is balancing motherhood and career.

"It's one of my biggest challenges," Gadot admitted. "I think that every mother who has a career can relate to it. You're always feeling guilty that you're not doing enough at home or you're not working enough on the treatment, script, whatever it is."

However, Gadot finds her balance in having her two daughters be part her life instead of changing her life to fit her daughters.

"At the end of the day, your kids join your life and you bring them here and they join your life," she said. "You're not supposed to change your life to accommodate the children."

And while there are those who may think Gadot's approach to work/life balance is a bit strange, she says that her children are still her priority, but it's okay to do things differently if that's what works.

"It's okay not to have a routine and not to be like everyone else," she said. "And it's okay as long as the family's together and you're happy and you do it together, it's great."
