Justice League Trailer's 5 Best Moments
The new Justice League trailer is here, and it certainly delivered plenty of new footage, [...]
Clark and Lois
The trailer kicks off with Lois in Smallville, looking out at the field. A figure can be seen standing, revealed to be Clark.
It seems this is sometime after his proposal, as he says "I'll take that as a yes." When she asks "what", Clark responds "The ring."
The scene then transitions to Lois in a black coat, with the ring still on her finger. She's holding a handful of dirt in her hand and spreads it over presumably the same field.
It's the first real footage of Clark in the trailers thus far, but it wouldn't be the last reference towards him in the trailer.
prevnextGordon And The Batsignal
The Bat-Signal has been around for some time in this universe, but fans never really got the chance to see it in action in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Justice League seeks to remedy that.
About midway through the trailer Commissioner Gordon can be seen flipping a switch on the rooftop. The scene then switches to Batman's point of view, revealing the signal in all its glory in the Gotham sky.
That would be enough, but as the camera pans upward it reveals Batman's slick Batwing rising up on a platform.
It also sets up another fantastic scene later in the trailer.
prevnextSuperman Monument
Superman pops up again later on, but not in human form. Instead, fans get a look at his legacy.
There are pieces of it throughout the trailer, especially revealed in the news report early on. Superman's casket has become a place to honor their fallen hero, and a close-up reveals what his work meant to the city of Metropolis in just a few words.
Someone wrote "If you seek his monument look around you" on his casket, which is also filled with flowers and candles. It seems Superman left behind quite a legacy, and the world isn't ready to let go of him just yet.
prevnextCyborg Aquaman Fastball Special
Aquaman stands out as one of the highlights from the trailer, but there is one scene in particular that sums him up perfectly.
At one point Aquaman can be seen drifting through the air, presumably after being hit by a Parademon. Cyborg catches him by the arm and pulls him back, saying "The ride ain't over yet."
Aquaman smiles and says "My man" as Cyborg launches him forward, creating DC's own version of the Fastball Special.
Yeah, it's awesome, and we want more of this team-up, please!
prevnextThe Batsignal
The final scene is perhaps one of the best, gathering Wonder Woman, Batman, and The Flash together under the Bat-signal.
Thing is, they are all in normal clothes, so the secret identities thing is rather important. Flash doesn't seem to get that memo at first though, as after seeing the Bat-signal hit the sky he exclaims "Oh, awesome!" and points upward.
He goes even further, pointing at Bruce and saying "That's the Bat-signal, that's your..." He seems to get the point here, switching to a "whispering" tone and saying "Oh, shhh, sorry, that's your signal, that means we have to go now."
Bruce's face of "what have I gotten myself into" is perfect here, replying "Yes. Yes, that's what that means." Diana gives Bruce an understanding look, and Bruce resigns himself to his lot in life at the moment.
It's a great scene and bodes well for the finished product.
