There was a lot for fans to enjoy in the newly released sizzle reel for Legends of Tomorrow, but in addition to teases for the new season and glimpses of old favorites, fans might have noticed another familiar -- and maybe not so welcome -- figure.

At right around two minutes and fifty seconds into the trailer, there's a quick glimpse of an alien menacing what appears to be Sarah. If you guessed that the alien creature was a Dominator, you're right.

As Arrowverse fans will remember, the Dominators were the central issue of last season's four-part crossover event. The alien creatures, which had previously landed on Earth in the 1950s, showed up again and this time they definitely do not come in peace. You see, the Dominators found out about Barry's manipulation of the timeline and decided that he was a threat. The demand Barry surrender himself, but also have a weapon that will kill all metahumans on Earth...as well as claim millions of normal human lives as casualties.

While the heroes manage to save the day, a Dominator might not be a welcome sight which means that the Dominator that Ray befriends this season in Legends will be interesting and, according to showrunner Phil Klemmer, potentially moving.

In an E.T. themed episode of Legends of Tomorrow entitled "Phone Home" is a likely nod to the Steven Spielberg classic though the child befriending an alien here is a young Ray Palmer and the alien definitely isn't E.T.

"We have these incredibly fun and hilarious romps with Billy Zane being P. T. Barnum or a baby dominator being displaced into young Ray Palmer's childhood back in the '80s," Klemmer told ComicBook.com. "At the same time, there are moments that will move you to tears in this season. I think that's a really surprising thing for a show that has as much fun as ours."

Of course, that Dominator -- or Sarah for that matter -- doesn't look like he's having much fun.

Legends of Tomorrow will return to The CW on October 10th, at 9/8c, following new episodes of The Flash.
