'Legends of Tomorrow' Recap With Spoilers: "Aruba-Con"
Tonight picks up exactly where season two left off: the Legends find themselves in a city where [...]
Act I
Six months have passed and Sara Lance is working at a big box store. She's approached by her boss who's rather rude.
Elsewhere, Ray Palmer is working for an apparent startup called UpSwipes a knockoff of Tinder. He approaches his boss who speaks down to him, making a point that Ray gave his company to a lady who let it fail.
Nate Heywood is beating up some bad guys and Wally West shows up to help him take care of them.
Mick Rory is relaxing on the beach when he's approached by an armored man on a horse — it's Julius Caesar. He then calls Sara while she's at work to explain the situation. Her boss approaches her about taking a personal call at work and she quits her job.
Sara, Ray, and Nate meet up at a coffee shop to talk about the situation Mick called about. They all realize they hate their current lives and decide to go help Mick, disregarding Rip's prior warning.
The group heads to Star City where they're stopped by Rip's time agents.
prevnextAct II
Rip shows up to talk to the Legends and the tense standoff comes to a quick end. Sara informs Rip that Mick has incapacitated Julius Caesar in Aruba.
As they're walking through Rip's office building, two agents carry King Arthur by and Rip wipes his mind clean so he has no memories of what's going on once he goes back to his normal time.
Rip then takes the trio — Sara, Ray, and Nate — to see the Waverider, which has since been converted into a simulator for trainees.
Back in Aruba, Caesar convinces Mick that he has gold in the satchel on his belt. As Mick approaches, Caesar headbutts him and a fight breaks out. Caesar escapes and gets stuck in a Spring Break-like toga party called ArubaCon, where the Time Agents have opened a portal.
Rory loses the real Caesar and mistakenly tackles a look-a-like. The agents take the two back to their HQ, where the group thinks Mick messed up and didn't see the real Caesar.
As the group is kicked out of the building, Mick tries buying a soda with one of Caesar's piece of gold and Nate reveals that it's a legitimate coin from Caesar's era. The group decides the go rogue and Aruba and find Caesar themselves. They reboot Gideon who timejumps them out of the building.
prevnextAct III
Gideon reveals the crew has only been time jumped three minutes into the future. Nate asks if they can make it to Central City because he knows a mechanic there.
Jax is at Martin's house and tells him he's dropped out of school. Martin's daughter Lilly shows up and shows Jax that she's pregnant. The Waverider appears and Jax and Martin board — the two agree to help Sara, Ray, and Nate.
The crew makes it to Aruba and instantly fights Caesar talking to a group of college kids, trying to get them to join his army. After Ray gets Gideon to distract the frat boys surrounding Caesar, Sara is able to fight him and render him unconscious.
prevnextAct IV
Back on the Waverider, Rip appears in holographic form and tells the group that they need to return Caesar to him so he can insert him back in the timeline without any repercussions. Sara tells Gideon to take them to the Time Bureau and Gideon says that repairs need to be made before they do so.
Jax gets to work on making the repairs as Martin looks on and the two share a heart-to-heart about what they each want to accomplish in life.
Sara approaches Caesar — who's been incarcerated in the Waverider's holding cell and two exchange pleasantries. Jax shows up and lets Sara know the repairs have been made.
Sara plots a course to Rome, where they clear Caesar's conscious so that he doesn't remember anything. As they're walking away, it's shown Caesar has taken Nate's 'Rise of Rome' book.
Back on the Waverider, Gideon informs the group they can't go home because Caesar has taken over the world because he had access to the book.
prevnextAct V
Rip and his Time Agents create a portal to board the Waverider and take control of the situation. Rip sends a team of agents to retrieve the book of Caesar's tent and the team is ambushed with one of the agents getting captured.
Rip agrees to let the team help out, so disembark to fight Caesar's men and after a skirmish, they rescue that captured agent — Special Agent Ava Sharpe.
prevnextAct VI
The Legends begin to take the Waverider through the timestream with Rip still aboard. Special Agent Sharpe informs Rip that their team has erased the memories of Caesar and his men, they bid the Legends farewell.
Mick tells Sara that he's stolen one of the Time Agents' portal devices.
Martin informs Jax that he's decided to stay with the team.
Ray walks in Nate looking at a picture of Amaya — who has left the team and traveled back to 1942.
We see Amaya approached by a group of poachers who threaten to shoot her and she uses her powers to take them out.
