Now that Justice League is finally hitting theaters, it seems like a perfect time to start thinking about the sequel, and we've got a few ideas.

Spoilers incoming for Justice League, so if you haven't seen it yet you've been warned.

The after credits scene from Justice League already teases a bit of what's to come next, as Deathstroke can be seen approaching a yacht. The yacht turns out to be Lex Luthor's, who has somehow escaped Arkham Asylum. He proposes to Deathstroke that they create "a league of their own", and then it fades to black.

So, with that in mind, it only makes sense for Justice League 2 to build from there and create a full-on Legion of Doom for the League to take on. If that's the case, it opens up a slew of possible villain introductions, and could easily set the table for the next phase of DC's cinematic universe.

The League currently includes Lex Luthor and Deathstroke, and in the comics has included many members. There are a few though that stand out more than others, and those include characters like Bizarro, Black Adam, Black Manta, Captain Cold, Cheetah, Gorilla Grodd, Killer Frost, Major Force, Metallo, Merlyn, Parasite, Poison Ivy, Silver Banshee, Sinestro, Scarecrow, and Solomon Grundy.

Out of those, it's easy to pick one main villain per character. Deathstroke and Lex Luthor take care of Batman and Superman respectively. This would be a perfect way to introduce Cheetah to the Wonder Woman mix (depending on what Wonder Woman 2 takes on) and for Flash, you could introduce someone like Captain Cold.

As for Cyborg, his rogue's gallery is a little less well known, and Deathstroke is also one of his frequent enemies as part of the Titans, so maybe throw a powerhouse like Metallo or Solomon Grundy would make a good counter. The choice is easy when it comes to the future Green Lantern, as Sinestro has always been a powerful part of the Legion.

Last but not least is Aquaman, and like Green Lantern including Black Manta is a no-brainer. If you did want to go a different route, you could always put in someone like Corum Rath to change things up.

That sets the stage for an even more powerful Justice League (since at that point they will hopefully have GL) to face down a lethal Legion of Doom, leading to some epic battle scenes. End it with a big tease for Darkseid in Justice League 3 and you just might have a brilliant sequel on your hands.

Justice League is in theaters now.
