DC movie fans were left wondering if and when Joe Manganiello's Slade Wilson / Deathstroke would make his debut in the DC Films Universe, and after a lot of rumor they finally got their official answer.

WARNING: This article contains Justice League spoilers!

Now that we've seen Joe Manganiello's Deathstroke on the big screen, we're hearing reactions from all over the Internet. However, one of the most relevant opinions comes from none other than Marv Wolfman, co-creator of the Deathstroke character:

Manganiello appears as Deathstroke in the post-credits scene for Justice League, where we see the famed DC Comics assassin meeting escaped convict Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg) to discuss the early concept for "The Injustice League," a team up of the respective Justice League memeber's greatest foes.

As noted above, Manganiello's Slade Wilson is the spitting image of the character (especially the New 52 version). He was originally rumored to appear in Justice League before major changes to The Batman (like Ben Affleck's involvement) threw Manganiello's DCEU future into doubt. Now that the character has made his debut, the path is clear for Deathstroke's appearance in The Batman, before his own solo movie.

Justice League is now in theaters; Aquaman arrives on December 21, 2018; Shazam on April 5, 2019; Wonder Woman 2 on November 1st, 2019; Cyborg on April 3, 2020; and Green Lantern Corps on July 24, 2020.
