On the heels of Superwoman's cancellation announcement last month, Blue Beetle will be the second of DC's "Rebirth"-era titles to conclude its run when its February issue hits the stands.

Jaime Reyes and Ted Kord's team-up book was greeted with excitement at the start of Rebirth, but seemed to lose steam after its first arc or so.

More recently, writers Keith Giffen and J.M. DeMatteis wrote a status quo-shattering story that tied Blue Beetle in with their Justice League 3000/3001 series, but that was their personal finale, giving way to new writer Chris Sebela, who seems to have taken on the book so that he could make sure everything was in good shape when the lights went out.

It's chaos at Kord Industries as Jaime helps Ted install a new A.I. system, only to have it come online and seize control of the facility. Trapped inside the building, Blue Beetle is put to the ultimate test, battling a hostile entity that turns every tool in Ted Kord's inventory into a deadly weapon. With his last school year approaching, Jaime could be taking his final exam.
