There have been plenty of fans who have fantasized about seeing DC Comics' and Marvel's respective big guns in the Justice League and Avengers go head-to-head, and more recently the idea of an Avengers vs. X-Men movie has become significantly more feasible than it once was, but what if DC's Justice League went up against the X-Men of 20th Century Fox's movie universe?

That's the scenario that YouTuber user stryder HD imagined for his Justice League vs. X-Men trailer. The trailer borrows footage from X-Men: Apocalypse, X-Men First Class, X-Men: Days of Future Past, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, and several Justice League trailers to bring the two cinematic super-teams together.

Here's the synopsis of stryder HD's imagined crossover:

Jean sees premonitions in a dream involving Superman and the Justice League and an impending battle which will cause the destruction of humanity. Logan is decidedly picked to be sent back into the past and meet up with the mutants to destroy them before they can form the league and come to full power. Magneto incites Lois to get Superman involved and causes destruction (in this time in his life where he "dislikes" humanity). The X-Men need to control him and get him to help destroy the league. The league is partially formed and Flash then crosses paths with Quicksilver and they go at it and fighting ensues. This is a concept and not taken to be a super literal thing. I hope you guys can enjoy it for what it is. Thanks!

There X-Men and the Justice League have never gone directly head to head in comic book form – intercompany crossovers usually had the X-Men matched up with the Teen Titans and the Justice League paired up with the Avengers – but in the Amalgam universe that brought Marvel's and DC's universe together into one the Justice League of America and X-Men became the Justice League X-Men, a team put together by Mister X, later revealed to be J'onn J'onzz.

Upcoming X-Men movies include The New Mutants on April 13, 2018, Deadpool 2 on June 1, 2018, X-Men: Dark Phoenix on November 2, 2018, and Gambit on February 14, 2019.

Justice League is now playing in theaters. The film will be followed in the DC Extended Universe by Aquaman on December 21, 2018, Wonder Woman 2 on November 1, 2019, Shazam on April 5, 2019, Cyborg in 2020, and Green Lantern Corps in 2020.
