Video games can be real life savers. They reduce stress, keep your mind sharp, your kids distracted, and they can even take a bullet for you. Wait, what's that last one?

Redditor RabbitMix recently shared a rather amazing (and terrifying) story with the world. Late at night, our Redditor was at his gaming computer when he heard a loud pop and the sound of breaking glass. While startled, he didn't think too much of it…until he found the hole in his wall.

"I was at my desk playing Prey last night, and soon noticed the cloud of drywall dust in the air and a bullet hole to the left of my monitor."

Thankfully, RabbitMix wasn't hurt, but what happened to the bullet? He began investigating and found…

"I started looking for where the bullet had ended up and my heart sunk as I saw this hole in my Elder Scrolls Anthology. In [there] is where I found the bullet itself, right in the expansions for Morrowind. I didn't think to take a picture before the police came and they took the bullet for evidence, so no pic of that...sorry."

Holy crap! I thought this kind of thing only happened in movies, but apparently, the Elder Scrolls Anthology packaging is so hefty it can actually stop a damn bullet. You can check out all the images, below.

Last Night The Elder Scrolls Literally Saved my Life

Considering how close that bullet hole in the wall was to our Redditor's monitor, a major tragedy may have been narrowly averted. If you feel like you need some protection, The Elder Scrolls Anthology is selling for a reasonable $75 on Amazon.

Oh, and hey, in one final happy twist, Bethesda has reached out and offered to buy RabbitMix a new copy of The Elder Scrolls Anthology. Now, who's going to pay for the hole in his wall?
