Report: Overwatch Game of the Year Edition Coming May 23, Contents Leaked

Blizzard's Overwatch has defined and exported what used to be a niche genre to millions of raving fans around the world so, naturally, a Game of the Year Edition is on the way. The folks over at TrueAchievements picked up on the new listing this morning, complete with box art and detailed information on what the GOTY edition will include. This is going to make for a highly attractive package for anyone who hasn't already picked up the game -- there's still a few of you out there, right?

Here's what's included in Overwatch: Game of the Year Edition, which is reportedly launching on May 23:

• The full game.

• 10 Bonus Loot Boxes with cosmetic goodies for your Overwatch heroes.

• Origin Skins for 5 Overwatch heroes.

• A Baby Winston Pet for adventures in World of WarCraft.

• The Tracer Hero for battling it out in Heroes of the Storm.

• And more!

Many of you who picked up Overwatch when it was first launched may notice that a few of the rewards are shared here. There are several of you out there already playing as Tracer in Heroes of the Storm, and we've been seeing Baby Winstons in World of Warcraft since last summer. The Origin skins have likewise been around since the launch of the game, though that doesn't make them any less cool. It is a bit of a bummer that these rewards have been recycled, but for those of you who missed out on all of the Origins goodies when the game launched, this is a nice opportunity to get some free premium loot with one of the best team-based shooters ever made.

And let's not forget those loot boxes! TrueAchievements also picked up on another items listing for special Anniversary Loot boxes. The description reads as follows:

We're willing to bet that the ten loot boxes that come with the GOTY Edition of Overwatch are all anniversary boxes, so that will be nice for new players to dig in and gain access to loot that even veteran players haven't seen yet.
