We're getting one hell of a Brutal Legend callback at this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo, as a new interview has just been added to the E3 Coliseum show that will no doubt be a thrill for fans of the cult classic.

Tim Schafer, the mega-mind behind a number of superb gaming classics, as well as Double Fine's recent slate of titles, will be interviewed at this year's E3 Coliseum event, which will take place on June 13th at 6 PM at the Novo Theater in Los Angeles. What's more, we know who'll be doing the interviewing – actor Jack Black, who recently appeared in Goosebumps and also played the lead hero in Brutal Legend.

"The conversation will focus on a wide-range of topics with the multi-talented Jack Black asking Tim all the hard hitting questions about his career, creative process, and even about the highly anticipated Psychonauts 2. Fans surely won't want to miss out!" the team noted in a press statement.

Schafer already joins a star-studded who's who of superstars that will be at the E3 Coliseum event, including Neil deGrasse Tyson, who will be discussing his newest game project; and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 director James Gunn, who will no doubt have some kind of story that ties in with his previous game endeavor Lollipop Chainsaw, amongst other things.

Those with E3 badgets will be able to attend the event live. But for those that can't make it, you can still partake in the pure epicness of the interview by watching online via YouTube, Beam, Twitch and Facebook Live. Links for the event should come closer to when the E3 Coliseum kicks off.

For those that have been wondering about a sequel to Brutal Legend, which was well received by fans at launch but didn't quite sell as well as Electronic Arts, the game's publisher, was hoping, hey, you can always ask at the event. As you can tell by the epic photo above, these two look like they'd be down to team up again.

You can rediscover the original Brutal Legend for yourself now on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.
