In a League of Legends release that certainly feels like a long time coming, the much teased Pulsefire Caitlyn skin is now finally available for purchase.
Officially released on Thursday, the Legendary skin for Caitlyn will put players back a price that reflects its lofty Legendary status and the work that went into redesigning the Marksman's image. At 1820 RP, it's an expensive skin, but with all of the pretty particles, sounds, and animations that accompany the skin, the price seems worth the hit to your wallet.
With as much as the skin has been teased and talked about, its release came a bit quieter than expected, but it did come with an animation to accompany the skin. An animated trailer was released around the same time that the actual skin was via League of Legends' social media. The trailer depicts the futuristic version of Caitlyn emerging from a portal out of thin air. She steps out from the portal as she traverses multiple landscapes in search of time-travelling, portal-hopping fugitives, most likely on the lookout for Pulsefire Ezreal.

Like all Legendary skins, Pulsefire Caitlyn comes with much more than just updated graphics. Below is a list of what players can expect to enjoy with the new skin:
- New model and textures - Tactical and sleek! - She's equipped with the latest weaponry!
- New particles - Digital technology that will have you hitting your target every time!
- New sound effects - Pew pew, pew pew pew!
- New animations - Complete with an evolving gun and hoverbike homeguard!
- New recall animation - Caitlyn timehops, always sporting the most stylish of hats for the time period.
- New VO script - The future's only hope is in the barrel of my gun
In addition to the skin, several Pulsefire-themed accessories are also available to round out the Pulsefire experience. The Pulsefire Caitlyn Set rings up at 2462 RP,
3122 RP with the champion, and with it comes the skin, a Pulsefire Ward, a Pulsefire Caitlyn Icon, and a Pulsefire Icon. Both of the icons can be purchased separately for 250 RP each, and the Pulsefire Ward is available for 640 RP.
