The Witcher III: Wild Hunt Getting A Vinyl Album Release

Vinyl is definitely coming back in style for some music listeners, and now video game soundtracks are going that way as well, with everything from Battletoads to Gunstar Heroes to Streets of Rage getting re-releases on classic records. But new games appear to be taking this route as well.

A new album set called The Butcher of Blaviken is making its way to Thinkgeek and other retailers starting June 2nd, celebrating the musical legacy of CD Projekt Red's hit game The Witcher III: Wild Hunt. Set to sell for $29.99, the multi-album package looks pretty great. Here are the official product specifications:

• Officially-licensed The Witcher 3 merchandise
• Grey color is a ThinkGeek exclusive
• Two vinyl LPs jam packed with songs from the game all in a beautiful slip cover
• Slip cover comes with beautiful art featuring a towering Leshen on the front
• LPs are a frosty grey color - much like Geralt's beard
• 35 total tracks

As you can see from the shots of the package in the attached gallery, it looks very impressive, and the records are sharply designed as well. Produced by Gaya Entertainment, it has a number of tracks that fans will easily recognize, including a dozen from the Hearts of Stone expansion in itself.
