YouTube Returning To E3 With Special Live Event

The Electronic Entertainment Expo is just a couple of weeks away, and literally every company that we can think of is hosting some kind of live event that will showcase the biggest and best games to come over the next year. So why shouldn't YouTube join in on the fun?

The company has announced that it will once again host a Live at E3 event for the two days leading into it, with The Game Awards producer Geoff Keighley once again hosting. The event will stream online on both Sunday, June 11th, and Monday, June 12th, leading up to the event's start on June 13th.

Over the course of the two days, YouTube will host a number of reveals, and will also live broadcast several press conferences, including the Xbox E3 briefing, Bethesda's E3 showcase from Bethesdaland, Ubisoft's E3 press conference and Sony's PlayStation E3 media showcase.

The program will air in 4K resolution, according to the company, and will feature appearances from a number of YouTube creators, including AngryJoe, Ali-A, iJustine, MatPat, Nadeshot, Vikkstar, and several more. The broadcast will take place from the JW Marriott in Los Angeles, literally steps away from the E3 Convention Center.

"E3 is a huge moment for everyone who plays videogames, and YouTube is the biggest video platform for gaming in the world," said Geoff Keighley, Host/Executive Producer, Live at E3. "This year we are doubling down: We're building a brand-new studio, expanding to two days of coverage, and broadcasting live in 4K Ultra HD for the first time. What won't change, however, is our focus on delivering the best quality content and giving YouTube's top gaming creators a place to come celebrate their passion for this medium."
