As if there wasn't enough to get excited about today with a new Wolfenstein being announced, the main hero of the series, B.J. Blazkowicz, is getting some action in another Bethesda series – and he'll be as hard-hitting as ever.

During the publisher's "Bethesdaland" event this evening, a new trailer for Quake Champions was revealed, along with some new details that are sure to get fans excited. Along with several new maps that will be added to the game before its wide release later this year, we've learned that B.J. Blazkowicz will be a playable character in the game, so you'll be able to kick ass and take names with his trademark weapons.

The character is playable in the game now if you've got access to it, along with the new maps, which you can get a peek at in the trailer above.

On top of that, a tournament has also been announced, coming up at QuakeCon. The Quake World Championships, which mark a "return to the original esport," will take place on August 26th at the Dallas-based event. The prizes haven't been revealed just yet, but there should be big cash going around for it.

Check out the trailer above, and go check out the update now, so you can join in the beta fun!

Quake Champions should be released soon for PC. It's currently in beta.
