It seems that the news from recent months and during E3 surrounding Final Fantasy XV isn't done being released yet as it was stated today in a report from Square Enix that more announcements for the game will come during this year's Gamescom event.

Some of the time during the video report was aimed at going over and elaborating on information that was released for the Final Fantasy game during E3, but some of the conversation drifted towards what was not said during the conference.

"We've been very busy," said Final Fantasy XV Director Hajime Tabata about the game's ongoing updates. "We must make it so that we can announce some proper good announcements for the summer, we want to share some good information at Gamescom."

What "good information" they plan on revealing during the conference in Germany isn't known at this time, but there's probably a good chance that it'll have something to do with the Episode Ignis DLC that should be coming sometime in the future. We've already seen the content featured around Noctis' companion Gladiolus in the Episode Gladiolus expansion, and the upcoming DLC that's already been revealed called Episode Prompto plans to do the same with Prompto's character. Ignis is the last of the three companions that hasn't yet had his story discussed in DLC content, and with his already being confirmed to come last in the trio, it would make sense that his story would be discussed in August during the conference.

Episode Prompto recently got a trailer to show off some of the DLC's content, a trailer that showed that Prompto's guns will most definitely play a big role in the gameplay. Prompto's story is an emotional one, and his DLC appears to reflect that.

During E3, Square Enix showed off a new VR fishing component called Monster of the Deep: Final Fantasy XV, so they may also have more on that feature or perhaps other VR capabilities they hope to add to the game.

Gamescom will begin on Aug. 22 in Germany and will run until Aug. 26, so more news from Square Enix will likely come then.
