PlatinumGames is going to give Nintendo Switch owners a collective heart attack if the teases don't stop soon. Today the internet started to twitch with anticipation after the Japanese PlatinumGames Twitter account sent out this fascinating tweet:

What we're looking at are a few characters from The Wonderful 101 joined by the game's director. In the picture everyone seems to be playing The Wonderful 101 in the background. That's not so unusual. Platinum made the game, so why wouldn't they use their own characters and artwork in a fun tweet to fans?

But take a look at their controllers in that image. The Wonderful 101 was a Wii U exclusive, and they're not playing with Wii U gamepads -- they're playing with Nintendo Switch Joy-Con.

This has led a large number of PlatinumGames fans (myself included) to speculate that there's a The Wonderful 101 port in development for the Nintendo Switch. Not only that, Platinum also sent out a tweet earlier this week teasing a possible Bayonetta 1 & 2 port to the Nintendo Switch. Take a look at this:

There are a few things that stick out to us in this picture, but you guys let us know if we're paranoid. First of all, Bayonetta 2 was also a Wii U exclusive, so the fact that we can now look at these two tweets together, with The Wonderful 101 characters using Joy-Con, it quite telling. Additionally, the red and blue in the Bayonetta tweet seems to mimic the red and blue of the neon Nintendo Switch Joy-Con controllers. If you want to go full detective mode on this picture, you'll notice that the two guns connect, and together they form an 'S.'

Are we reading too deeply into this? Maybe. By PlatinumGames is making it way too easy to get hyped about this. Hopefully we'll get a confirmation tweet some time in the near future, because The Wonderful 101 was a fantastic and original action game that not many of you got the chance to play. It could (and should) have a fantastic revival on the Switch.
