Pokemon Go
players in Japan will be able to wear their Pokemon Go Plus devices like a ring starting tomorrow. Nintendo announced a new accessory for the Pokemon Go Plus that connects to the device's back and allows players to hold it in the palm of their hand without fear of dropping it. The new ring will cost 400 yen (or about $3.50 in US dollars.)

The Pokemon Go Plus is a Bluetooth-enabled device that syncs up with a user's Pokemon Go app to let them catch Pokemon and spin PokeStops without looking at their phone. Unlike Pokemon Go, which is developed and operated by a third party, the Pokemon Go Plus is manufactured directly by Nintendo.

To promote the new ring accessory, Nintendo is offering a special set of free decals to anyone who buys a Pokemon Go Plus from a Pokemon Center store in Japan. The decals will make the Pokemon Go Plus look like a Great Ball, Ultra Ball, or Master Ball.

While the Master Ball decal is probably just a coincidence, we should note that the powerful PokeBall has not been unlocked in Pokemon Go yet even though it's been in the game's code since launch.

As of right now, Nintendo has not announced whether the new ring accessory will be coming to the United States. While the Pokemon Go Plus sold out in the US after launch, it's now consistently at retailers and on the Pokemon Center's US website.
