This Horizon: Zero Dawn Lego Set Looks Too Good To Be True

Lego makes a lot of great playsets based on official properties, and we've collected our fair share of them – but it's the unofficial ones that get our attention, if only because it makes us think what could've been had Lego partnered up with certain companies. Like, for instance, Sony and Guerrilla Games.

A Lego builder who goes by the name of Marcel V, who specializes in putting together custom playsets for franchises like Star Wars and Lego Harry Potter, recently tried his hand at a special Lego playset for Horizon: Zero Dawn, which has been a best-seller for the PlayStation 4 since its release earlier this year. In the set, which is based upon the Newcastle Tyne Bridge portion of the game, it features Aloy who's perched up high, about to take on a Watcher that sees her, but has yet to change to predator mode.

Regarding the playset, Marcel V. said, "Dedicated to Markus, who inspired me to build something Horizon related. Although I'm not into these kind of games, I always enjoy the outstanding artwork. And Horizon: Zero Dawn is just beautiful. Scene is inspired by the Newcastle Tyne Bridge ingame. Hope you enjoy!"

And we certainly do, as the work on both Aloy and the Watcher is pretty impressive – and has us wondering how larger monsters would look if they were built with Legos. Perhaps Marcel V. can revisit this franchise down the road and see what else he can build from it.

For now, though, this small playset is quite inspired, as you can see below, and it looks quite amazing. It makes us wonder what would happen if Sony managed to team up with Lego to make a series of playsets based on some of its best games. Could you imagine a God of War set? Or, hey, why not build something from the Uncharted series? We'd totally be down for that, especially with The Lost Legacy just a month and a half away from release for the PlayStation 4.

Good work, Marcel! You can check out his other work here!

Horizon: Zero Dawn is available now for PlayStation 4.
