We're just a few days away from the release of Namco Museum on Nintendo Switch, which is sure to trigger a lot of old-school memories in players with the likes of Dig-Dug, Pac-Man and other old-school favorites. And to celebrate the occasion, Bandai Namco's Japan division has released a new trailer, featuring footage from the various games that will be offered in the collection.

The compilation includes a number of favorites, including some that are making their first-time debut in a Namco Museum collection for the first time, including the original arcade version of Splatterhouse, the two-player shoot-em-up Rolling Thunder II and the action-packed Tank Force. Other games that are included in the collection are SkyKid, The Tower of Druaga, the original Rolling Thunder, Galaga, Galaga '88, Dig-Dug and Pac-Man.

Perhaps the biggest draw for the package will be Pac-Man Vs., which we talked about when the game was announced a while back. It's a multiplayer game that was originally made popular on the GameCube, and took advantage of multi-system connectivity for a pure multiplayer experience. The Switch version will work differently than that, but should still strike a chord with fans that have been wanting to check it out.

In addition to a good collection of retro games, Namco Museum will also benefit from other features, including online leaderboards that let you post the best scores you can possibly get, along with the ability to hold the system vertically, should you feel like emulating the appearance of a narrow arcade screen on your Switch system. Sure, you'll look a little weird holding it, but it's definitely in the old-school style of things.

The trailer may be in Japanese, but it does feature some great footage from these games, and you can make out what's happening with each of the titles that are included, so you'll still feel that fuzzy old-school vibe. And for $30, it's a nice little compilation that could mean bigger things to come for future chapters of the Namco Museum saga. We'll see what happens.

Namco Museum releases for the Nintendo Switch on July 28th, and will sell for $29.99.
