Today Vertex Pop announced that its hyper-colorful and imaginative side-scrolling arcade shooter Graceful Explosion Machine is about to go multi-platform! After an enormously successful run on the Nintendo Switch, Graceful Explosion Machine will be making its way to the PlayStation 4 and to Steam on August 8. The game will set you back a cool $12.99. Check out the new announcement trailer above!

"Whether you're in the mood for a Zen-like experience or running up the leaderboards, Graceful Explosion Machine will have something for you this August," said Mobeen Fikree, Founder, Vertex Pop. "We saw a wonderful reception when the game launched on Nintendo Switch this spring and look forward to the PlayStation community and PC gamers getting in on the fun."

As you can tell from the gameplay footage above, playing Graceful Explosion Machine can be an experience as paradoxical as the game's title. It is beautiful and colorful and fluid, but it's also unrelenting in its difficulty at times, and this can be the type of game that has your gunning for top scores and squeezing your controller in rage. For $13, it's packed with variety and replay value.

"Graceful Explosion Machine embeds players into the cockpit of a lone surviving space fighter besieged by an unrelenting alien armada. To find a way home, this intrepid pilot fends off waves of enemy warships in furiously-paced dogfights, juggling four ludicrously overpowered weapons.

"Each armament in the dynamic quad-weapon array – featuring a blaster, energy sword, missiles and sniper beam – has a specific role on the battlefield, but also comes with limitations. Players must use every tool at their disposal, cycling through the arsenal to chain massive combos and kill swarms of aliens, while collecting crystals off fallen adversaries to replenish their munitions."

Give it a shot (pun intended)! Everyone who played GEM on the Nintendo Switch adored it, and we have a good feeling that you will too.
