Namco Museum is finally launching on the Nintendo Switch tomorrow, bringing a massive treasure trove of retro classics, including the wildly popular multiplayer hit PAC-MAN VS., to Switch owners everywhere. Pining for the launch of the Virtual Console? Wipe away those tears and get ready for the retro fix you've been craving. Check out the launch trailer above.

"With NAMCO MUSEUM, Nintendo Switch gamers can relive the glory days of coin-operated arcade games anytime or anywhere. For arcade game masters, the retro titles (excluding PAC-MAN VS.) support an online ranking system, allowing them to view their standing amongst the top gamers around the world. Players nostalgic for the classic coin-op era can transform their Nintendo Switch into a miniature arcade cabinet by turning the handheld console vertically for a taller, slimmer screen that replicates the original arcade experience."

There are ten games included in Namco Museum in addition to PAC-MAN VS., which you can think of as a nice bonus surprise. In this package you'll get PAC-MAN, Dig Dug, Galaga, Galaga 88, The Tower of Druaga, Rolling Thunder, Rolling Thunder 2, Sky Kid, Splatterhouse, and Tank Force.

ANYTIME, ANYWHERE

  • Switch games, stop, and resume play with ease at any time!

A NEW CHALLENGE

  • New Challenge Modes are now available for each game!

CHOOSE YOUR LAYOUT

  • Play games with your screen horizontally, or switch to a vertical layout for the classic arcade game feel!

As you may remember, PAC-MAN VS. is a multiplayer game that will require you and your friends to have at least two systems to play, at least that's how it will work on the Nintendo Switch. If you have someone coming over that would like to play the game with you, but they're not interested in dishing out $30 for the full version of Namco Museum, a free version of the multiplayer component of PAC-MAN VS. will be available to download from the Nintendo Switch eShop.
