A post with precious little detail to accompany it recently went up on the Riot Games Merch Facebook page that pushes new and retiring League of Legends merchandise, one that teases an upcoming event that's expected to be quite a big deal.

The full post can be seen below, and while the text leaves something to be desired when it comes to deciphering what the event might entail, the image does plenty to arouse speculation as to what might be involved.

With the blocky, pixelated way that the image is laid out, it can only mean one thing: An Arcade-themed merch event is on the way, and if their teaser is to be believed, it's going to be a big one.

At least a date was provided for the upcoming merch event, so players can expect to hopefully see some new products on Aug. 10, according to the teaser. This lines up pretty well with the patch schedule since Patch 7.15 just released earlier this week on Wednesday, so Aug. 10 would be one day after the next patch is released. With the upcoming Patch 7.16, the new Battle Boss skins and other arcade content should also be released with the patch, so it make sense to have the event then.

There's no telling what types of merchandise may be on sale, be it figures, plushes, or other products. Whatever it might be, it'll likely be related to the roster of Arcade and Battle Boss skins that are currently in the game. The full list of in-game Arcade content that includes the upcoming skins for Brand, Malzahar, and Ziggs can be seen below:

  • Arcade Ahri
  • Arcade Corki
  • Arcade Ezreal
  • Arcade Hecarim
  • Arcade Miss Fortune
  • Arcade Riven
  • Arcade Sona
  • Battle Boss Blitzcrank
  • Battle Boss Brand
  • Battle Boss Malzahar
  • Battle Boss Ziggs
  • Final Boss Veigar

According to the definitions from Riot Games' merch page, the Limited Edition products are those that won't ever be resold again once they're sold out except in very rare, specific occasions. With "Limited Edition" plastered across the image, it's likely that whatever is revealed will be sold under similar circumstances, so it's best to be prepared when these supposed Arcade merch products hit the store so you can get one before they sell out.
