Heads up! Multiple Nintendo Switch bundles and buying options have popped up on Walmart's website and ThinkGeek / GameStop's websites. There are options here for those of you who want a console on its own, as well as those who are looking to pick up a more comprehensive bundle. You can find the Walmart options right here, along with listings from ThinkGeek and GameStop.

As ever, it's important to note right away that if you've been searching for a Nintendo Switch and you intend to buy one, you need to take advantage of the availability right now and snag yours as soon as possible, because these won't last long. Whenever these go up at Walmart or at Gamestop, they tend to sell out very quickly, even as part of expensive bundles.

It's also important to note that if you're looking to buy from Walmart, and the only options showing up are the bundles packaged with extra stuff, you can use the Walmart app to get the console on its own. This has been a well-known workaround for some time now. If you're not into paying over $400 for the Switch and all the extra goodies, just log on through the app to search for the console on its own. But again -- do this quickly.

If you're on the fence, keep in mind that we're currently in a long stretch of strong first-party games releasing for the Switch. ARMS took off and wow'd critics last month, this month Splatoon 2 took off and sold way more than anyone could have anticipated, and we still have Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle and Super Mario Odyssey, which are both going to make enormous splashes when they release leading up to the holiday season.

Speaking of the holidays, I've heard a few friends mention that they're going to wait for the holidays to roll around before picking up a Switch so "hype can die down." Do not do this. This is a fool's plan. Come this Christmas, the Nintendo Switch and the Super NES Classic Edition are going to be two of the hottest gadgets out there, and you're going to be hard pressed finding either of them in stores or online. If you want a Switch, get it now.
