Dead by Daylight is bathing the summer with some bloody kills and daring escapes with a special Bloodfeast event that's dishing out a whopping triple Bloodpoint profit.

Beginning yesterday on Aug. 4, the event is scheduled to run until Aug. 8 where players can earn crazy amounts of Bloodpoints, the in-game currency that's used to level up both the Killers and Survivors while unlocking special perks, add-ons, and sacrificial items. Players have been gaming like crazy since the event kicked off to earn as many Bloodpoints as they can, but individual players aren't the only ones who stand to benefit from the lofty Bloodpoint numbers.

In addition to the triple Bloodpoint rewards, a community goal has also been set to encourage everyone to put as much time into the game as they can during the short event. It's a good thing that the triple Bloodpoint opportunity is active now as well since the goal for the Bloodpoint challenge is insanely high.

If players can obtain 150 billion Bloodpoints before the event's end, they'll be gifted with some of the Anniversary Rewards that were introduced during the game's one-year anniversary event back in June. These Offerings can be used before a match to double Bloodpoint gains for yourself or for all players, and they'll be available till the next community event begins.

To keep track of how many Bloodpoints that players have earned so far, there's also a Summer Bloodfeast mini-site that's been set up to monitor the progress. At the time of this writing, players have already amassed just under 60 billion Bloodpoints, so with a few more days to go, they're well on their way to the goal.

During the event, Dead by Daylight players can expect to see plenty of kills and hookings going on, many of them coming from the newest Killer in the game, the Huntress. Added with a recent DLC that was free for PC players, the Huntress is one of the first Killers that can attack from range with throwable axes. The DLC hasn't been released yet for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, but it and the Halloween content are expected to come soon.
