League of Legends' newest champion has received some pre-release changes to one of his most defining features before the champ is expected to his Summoner's Rift.

Ornn is the gruff Frejlordian blacksmith that's preparing to hammer his way through enemy champions and minions while he dual-wields his tools of the trade, and he's got some pretty mean horns that he uses to knock enemies around as well. While it's not at all uncommon for League players to be divided on a new champ before their release, Ornn actually brought up a more minor discussion over how his horns looked in-game compared to his splash art that left players disagreeing.

Compared to his splash art that's shown above, many players felt that the in-game model's horns didn't exactly fit with what the design. Whether changes to the horns were already in the works or if they were prompted by players' concerns about the differences is unknown, but it's clear that Ornn has had his horns altered just a bit before his release.

In the picture shown below that was captured on the PBE by Moobeat from Surrender@20, you can see that the new version of the horns is much sharper with a brighter red when compared to the old version. The texture of the horns appears to have been modified as well, and you'll notice that they now split much further out to the side where in the beginning they stayed close together, curling up at the ends.

But like many components of League of Legends, it's been proven once again that you can't please everyone. Those who preferred the older version are coming out to make their preferences known while those who criticized the previous version are praising the changes. Some think that the new model is much better and fits the splash art, but others have presented counterpoints by saying that the sharp horns don't look as good on Ornn and that the old red was better, according to one reply to the above tweet.

Of course, there's still those who are more in the middle, saying that no matter what the horns look like, they still resemble pressed-together tires.

Ornn is still being tested on the PBE and is expected to be shipped with the next League patch.
