Football fans will have to wait a little bit longer for Madden NFL 18 to officially arrive, but if you've got access to EA Access, you'll be able to get your strategies on a little bit sooner.

Electronic Arts has announced that the game is now available through the Xbox One-exclusive program, and that you can experience 10 hours of play time with it. But there's a catch – you can enjoy the multiplayer and many features, but when it comes to the game's new single player mode, The Longshot, you'll only be able to experience the first chapter of it. That's not the end of the world, though – it gives you a taste of what to expect when the full game drops next week.

The download will set you back about 36GB in hard drive space, so you'll want to make sure you shuffle your space around accordingly to fit the game.

Note: If you purchase one of the awesome products featured here, we may earn a commission.

One other note – if you have EA Access, you'll be able to purchase the full game at 10 percent off, should you decide to continue onward after playing through the 10 hour trial version. That marks it down to $53.99, down from $59.99. If you prefer to go after the G.O.A.T. version – with some extra goodies in tow – you'll be paying $71.99 instead of $79.99. It's a decent savings for a definitive football game.

Madden NFL 18 releases on August 25th for Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
