League of Legends' Vayne had now-reverted changes to several abilities being tested on the PBE recently that now look to be pushed to possibly be pushed to Patch 7.19.

The changes being proposed for the evil-slaying ADC certainly raised some eyebrows when they were initially discovered on the PBE, especially with how frustrating Vayne can be to play against at times. The champion doesn't have a strong early game like other ADCs, but with her powerful dueling powers, she can be a pain to deal with if she gets a strong lead.

The full changes listed below looked to remove some of the damage from her Tumble by preventing it from critically striking, but Vayne would gain some power against high-health targets, reinforcing her identity as a tank-shredder. But her ultimate's changes were the ones that were the most unexpected, buffs that would allow for some massive healing off of enemies she kills or assists with.

Tumble (Q):

  • Bonus damage no longer crits.

Silver Bolts (W):

  • Bonus True Damage increased from 6/7.5/9/10.5/12% to 6/8/10/12/14%
  • Minimum Damage changed from 40/60/80/100/120 to 50/65/80/95/110

Final Hour (R):

  • New Effect: "While under the effects of Final Hours, Vayne is revitalized when enemy champions she has damaged recently are killed, healing for 20% of their maximum health. Vayne must have damaged an enemy champion withing 3 seconds to earn healing."

It was revealed previously that these changes to Vayne wouldn't be shipping in Patch 7.17, but it now looks like they won't be seen in the following Patch 7.18 either. Riot Meddler covered a couple of different champions that the balance team hoped to see buffs and nerfs for in a recent Gameplay Thoughts post, and while several champs like Janna and Pantheon were under the 7.18 category, Vayne was not one of them. Instead, she was stuck with other later changes like those for Azir and eventually Udyr.

As far as what changes will be kept, the only ones that Meddler spoke of with certainty was that they still plan on taking away Q's ability to crit enemies and are shooting for Patch 7.19 for the changes. He mentioned that they still want to shift her power to other areas, but it's unclear exactly how much of the reverted changes they intend on keeping.
