Nintendo is no stranger to giving indie games love, as it proved in its line-up of titles for both the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS. So it should be no surprise that it's doing the same for the Nintendo Switch, and this week is a pretty big one for the forthcoming Nindies Summer Showcase 2017.

First up, the company will be hosting a special Nindies Summer Showcase video that will be airing on Wednesday, August 30th, at 1 PM EDT. Here, we're expecting to see a number of titles that will be coming to the Switch, including the latest from the Super Meat Boy and Mutant Mudds developers, as well as the Jet Set Radio-inspired platformer Hover: Revolt of Gamers, as well as many others.

You'll be able to watch the showcase here on YouTube, and we'll let you know if any surprise titles are revealed.

And if you're headed to PAX West this week (like we are), then you may want to note the special "Nindies@Night" event that will be taking place on Thursday, August 31st, at the Museum of Pop Culture (previously known as the Museum of Pop Culture). The event is free and open to the public, starting at 8:30 PM PDT. There, fans can get their hands on a number of forthcoming Switch titles, including Hover and others. There will more than likely be a pretty good line at the door, but everyone should be able to get in and enjoy the titles.

A few indie titles are expected at Nintendo's booth during PAX West as well, which takes place from September 1st through the 4th. You should also be able to check out other upcoming games like Super Mario Odyssey and Metroid: Samus Returns as well. It's a good chance to check out Nintendo's upcoming line-up, AAA and indie titles alike.

Again, we'll let you know what titles the company has lined up, but, yeah, it'll be great to see what the future holds for the Nintendo Switch over the next few months and into 2018. Now let us play Hover already!
