With everything that's happening with Hurricane Harvey in Houston, a lot of folks are stepping up to provide relief for victims. Bungie has already confirmed its support, and now the team at Games Done Quick have agreed to do the same.

The group, which hosts two speedrunning marathons over the course of each year to raise money for charity, has announced that it will host a special event that will benefit Harvey victims. Titled Harvey Relief Done Quick, the event will take place over the course of the whole weekend, starting on Friday, September 1st at 8 PM EDT, and running through Sunday, September 3rd, at 8 PM EDT.

Although a schedule hasn't been given yet, you can expect the best players out there to partake in many speed runs, including classic games and current hits.

So far, the Games Done Quick group has managed to raise $1.76 million this summer with its previous session for Doctors Without Borders, as well as $2.2 million for its previous winter stream. So, needless to say, there's going to be a lot of good done with this event.

You can check out the stream at the official Games Done Quick page.
