Celebrating the upcoming release of the highly anticipated Yakuza 2 remake, Yakuza Kiwami 2, Sega just unleashed a new batch of screenshots. Also released is a brand new video showcasing a few returning characters alongside their respective voice actors.
In the video below, four of the actors can be seen lending their likeness to their in-game counterparts. Fans of the original Yakuza 2 may notice that not every character has their original voice actor because of the difference in performance capture technology between now and back in 2006.
Susumu Terajima is seen back in the detective shoes of the charactor Jiro Kawara, with Hakyru as Ryo Takashima, Yuichi Kimura as Tsutomu Bessho, and Houka Kinoshita as Wataru Kurahashi.
The latest insight into the upcoming remake gives a unique look at behind the scenes while still offering some in-game sneak peeks. With the complete overhaul on graphics and visuals, plus additional storylines, Yakuza Kiwami 2 looks honestly like the perfect way to do a remake.
At this time, Yakuza Kiwami 2 is set for a Japan-only release but may change in the future, just like the first Yakuza Kiwami. For now, the remake will be available for Japanese audiences December 7th exclusively for the PlayStation 4.
