New details have surfaced for the upcoming Attack on Titan 3DS game, Future Coordinates. Spike Chunsoft, the developer behind the anime-inspired title, dives right in with details on the upcoming modes and new screenshots.
There will be two identifiable modes in the upcoming Attack on Titan 2 game: the Story Mode and the World Mode. The Story Mode will feature what one would expect from the description, with a narrative that falls in-line with the events that transpired in both the anime and manga. This mode will feature intricate cut scenes, video stylings, and musical tracks all derived from what fans love and expect from the franchise. For those that have seen season 2 of the popular anime, many of these cut scenes will feel incredibly familiar.
"Whether its Eren, Levi, Mikasa, Sasha, and so on, the playable character changes for each mission based on the development of the story. The number of characters from the original work that participate this time has increased in comparison to the first game, allowing players to enjoy fighting alongside familiar characters."
The team also boasts that the sequel will go further into cinematic scenarios than the first title, and will intricately explore the depths of hidden agendas among several of the characters.
The World Mode will allow players to create their own character in the SNK universe. Partake in scouting missions, accumulate an army - even construct your own base. This mode is designed for players to morph their own experience within the world of titans and political maneuverings.
The base crafting is also something that completely revamped in the upcoming sequel. Construct the most formidable facility possible by resources given and acquired through missions. This will be the point of defense against oncoming titan attacks, so players will want to be prepared. Make sure to keep on those food and water supplies too!
