ThatGameCompany just revealed its newest project, called Sky, which is coming first to Apple TV, iPad, and iPhone this winter. The entire internet threw a massive fit when they saw that this would be an iOS exclusive, but rest assured that this is a multi-platform project that will enjoy a timed exclusivity for Apple users. We'll all get our hands on this one eventually, but we don't have any solid release date information quite yet. The game does look absolutely gorgeous, though. Check out the teaser trailer above.

ThatGameCompany is describing Sky as a social adventure game. It's taken everything it's learned through the development of games like flOw, Flower, and Journey, and poured them into this latest project. The game promises to be engaging on an emotional level, with players interacting with their friends and loved ones in surprising ways. ThatGameCompany has also stated that the game will orbit around the theme of giving, so expect that to play into the multiplayer in a big way. Did we mention that it's freaking beautiful?

"After the release of Journey," reads a recent update on ThatGameCompany's website, "so many fans wrote to tell us how much they enjoyed playing the game with their spouse, children or loved ones, and asked if we could create a game where they could play together. We wanted as many people to love games, and so we were encouraged to explore this idea at thatgamecompany. Which brings our games, for the first time, to mobile – a platform that many have access to, the world over."

Details on gameplay and objectives are still a bit foggy, but then, it's hard to properly explain Journey to someone who's never experienced it. The update continues, "It's hard to explain the game, but a good place would be to say that Sky is a game specially created to be played, and shared, among loved ones and family. If you can imagine the delight of visiting a theme park where lasting memories are made, we envision Sky will sometimes feel like that."

ThatGameCompany just released a new interview with Geoff Keighley, which you can enjoy below. We'll have more information about Sky soon, so stay tuned!
