The Wolfenstein saga has never shown kindness to Nazis, and it's not likely that the upcoming Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus will either, as B.J. Blazkowicz attempts to push back the Nazi invasion that has taken over a good portion of the United States.

So leave it to Bethesda and Machine Games to release a new advertisement that has a clear message that may hit home to some a little deeper than expected: Make America Nazi-Free Again.

The trailer went up on the official Wolfenstein Twitter account today, and although it's on the brief side, it gets the message across loud and clear: "Not my America." You can see the embedded video below.

So far, the trailer has gotten a good amount of reception from Twitter fans, including @vid_icarus, who noted, "Wolfenstein Social Media Manager, you're doing amazing sweetie," as well as "I love it, I'm pumped lol" from @cloudstrife0387. But there were also critical ones, with @ironyispoison noting, "Oh wow, what a clever marketing trick: tapping into hysterical leftist power fantasy. So current. So subtly political. Wow. Go fuckyourselfs."

But for the most part, fans have shown their support, and, more than likely, we'll see this kind of marketing push in the weeks ahead, and maybe even months, as the game will also be coming to Nintendo Switch in 2018.

Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus releases on October 27th for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC, and early next year for Nintendo Switch.
