'Star Wars Battlefront II': Darth Vader Revealed and Detailed

Darth Vader is returning to the battlefront. This morning, EA's Jared Petty revealed on the PlayStation Blog that Lord Vader would be making his furious return in Star Wars Battlefront II.

As you might imagine, his characteristic trademark both in disposition and in action is his stoic, burning anger. The post mentions that Vader will be able to draw on his fury and feed from the darkest pits of the Dark Side's energy pools to make himself an unstoppable killing machine. As a given battle wears on, Vader will be able to draw from his fury in order to drastically increase his durability and damage output. When you see that black flowing cape and red lightsaber striding in your direction, it's time to turn tail and run.

Similar to the first Battlefront, Darth Vader will also be able to use some tricky force techniques to attack enemies at a distance. Vader will be able to throw his lightsaber spinning far ahead of him, where it can rip through enemies before returning to his hand. Whether going up against an enemy hero or a crowd of enemy troops, this will allow you to take them by surprise and dish out some early damage.

Also returning is Vader's iconic force choke. This is a telekinetic attack that can also be triggered from a distance. You'll lift your foe off of the ground in this deadly choke hold that damages them slowly over time, and gives you brief control of their positioning. When it's time to release them, feel free to drop them over the side of a cliff.
