Dead by Daylight Is Adding Freddy Krueger as the Next Killer
A new Dead by Daylight teaser has surfaced that indicates that Freddy Krueger is on his way to [...]
The Teaser
It won't take long to get through this trailer, but it'll do plenty to get Dead by Daylight players and horror fans pumped for Freddy Krueger being added to the game.
Featuring what looks like the boiler room setting from the Nightmare on Elm Street series, a rusted piece of metal is shown with four slow claw marks being made across it, markings that very much resemble Freddy Krueger's weapon of choice. The final tally that crosses the four lines completes the Dead by Daylight symbol, and the final warning of "Don't Fall Asleep" brings the whole teaser together.
With his addition, Freddy Krueger will join the ranks of other famous killers like Michael Myers and Leatherface, but it's hard to say where the powerhouse of horror classics will end.
prevnextFreddy Krueger's Playstyle
One of the most interesting questions about Freddy Kreuger aside from when he'll be released is how exactly he'll be played compared to the other Killers.
While Killers like Michael Myers, the Trapper, the Hillbilly, and Leatherface rely more on brute strength and relentlessness, Freddy Kreuger doesn't employ the same tactics. He's much more likely to toy with his victims through devious tricks and illusions, so while he'll have the same basic goals as the other Killers, he'll likely go about completing them through different methods.
Freddy Kreuger also specializes in being able to isolate his victims, so part of his playstyle may revolve around keeping Survivors separated or honing in on one at a time. It's possible – and fitting of his style – that he might use a hallucination attack similar to the Doctor's.
Freddy Kreuger doesn't have a release date or ability details at this time, but more teasers and information will likely come soon.
