League of Legends Has Several Buffs Coming for Evelynn

A series of buffs are expected to come for League of Legends' Evelynn in the next patch that should help bring the champion closer to where she's hoped to be.

Evelynn's update didn't put her too far out of line by either being too strong or too weak, but she still seems to have room for improvement to increase her power slightly. Her winrate hasn't been too stellar since her update, but that's to be expected with newly reworked champions as players take time to get the hang of their new moves.

Riot Meddler explained the reasoning behind several of the buffs that are being explored for Evelynn while referencing the growing pains associated with new champions and reworks.

"She's performing better as people get more experience on her, and we believe she'll be stronger on Runes Reforged than current runes/masteries," Meddler said. "She's still underperforming a bit relative to how we'd expect her to be doing at this point though. We'll likely be going with some light buffs in 7.21 as a result, aimed at things that we're confident are good changes regardless of her current power level (good feels impacts that aren't things we'd nerf if she later ended up too strong)."

The following buffs are being considered for Evelynn at this time:

• Passive not put on CD when hit by minions
• Q CD down, refund on jungle monsters down significantly, damage up slightly (bit of extra performance in lane, bit less frantic button mashing needed in general)
• E gets a minimum amount of damage on % health damage (ensures E kills mini Krugs in particular)

More buffs for Evelynn's E, Whiplash, are also being explored that would add some flat damage onto the move. Her Whiplash seems to be one of her more underwhelming abilities in her kit in terms of damage and jungle farming, so it'd make sense to make the move a bite more impactful. Those buffs might not make it through to the next patch though, so don't get too set on seeing them.

The potential buffs for Evelynn will likely be seen in Patch 7.21 if the changes prove to be healthy.
