Tonight is bringing a brand new episode of The CW's The Flash that fans are sure to enjoy – but there's a lot more where that came from, especially for players that are partaking in the mobile version of NetherRealm Studios' hit fighting game Injustice 2.

That's because the Multiverse edition of The Flash has apparently been added to the game, much to the surprise of many fans. Some players over on Reddit originally pointed out his addition to the game, noting that both skins and arts featuring his character are included in the mobile release.

On top of that, a new gameplay video has been posted by PSDROID GAMES, with about ten minutes' worth of footage that features the speedster in action. You can see the video above to see just how fast and effective this character is, though he reacts in the same way as the typical Flash within the game.

But now comes the obvious question that some fans are wondering – where is the console release for The Flash – and, for that matter, other CW-based characters? We've talked about the possibility in the past of special skins being added to the console versions of Injustice 2, although nothing has been confirmed outside of the premium skins that are available, including the addition of Black Lightning earlier this month (as an alternative to Raiden).

NetherRealm hasn't said a word yet, but the possibility is definitely there. Although we may not see the CW's version of the heroes added to the game (at least, not right away – maybe in season 2 of content in 2018?), Justice League hits theaters next month, and there's always the off-chance that Warner Bros. and NetherRealm could launch a promotion that features skins of those characters in the game. Again, nothing confirmed, but Warner Bros. could have a golden opportunity if it opts to do this.

In the meantime, if you want to check out the CW version of Flash within the game, you can do so now, as he should be available when you start it up.

Injustice 2 Mobile is available for mobile devices now, and Injustice 2 is available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
