Destiny 2: Xur Location and Exotic Gear
We love Xur. He's a wonderful mixture of Where's Waldo and Santa Clause. Thankfully he's a little [...]
Sweet Business
PvE focused players and those of you looking for a strong primary for the raid will love Sweet Business for one reason -- a perk most Guardians overlook completely: High-Caliber Rounds. When you're getting bombarded by adds, High-Caliber Rounds is perhaps the most important perk to have equipped at all times, because it will stagger and stun enemies as they rush toward you. It will also interrupt enemy grenade throws. A huge magazine and forgiving stability make this auto-rifle an absolute monster.
Weapon Perks:
Payday
- Larger magazine. Increased accuracy when firing from the hip.
Polygonal Rifling
- Barrel optimized for recoil reduction.
- Increases stability
High-Caliber Rounds
- Shots from this weapon knock the target back farther.
- Slightly increases range
Business Time
- Holding down the trigger boosts this weapon's range and rate of fire, and automatically loads ammo pickups into the magazine.
Composite Stock
- This weapon has a versatile dual-purpose stock.
- Slightly increases stability
- Slightly increases handling speed
Hunter Armor: Raiden Flux
Raiden Flux is a fairly common piece of gear by now, mainly because most Hunters will acquire it as their first exotic armor as a quest reward. It's still worth keeping, though, and if you dismantled yours a while back looking for spare shards, here's your opportunity to get it back again. Hunters love this one, and foes fear it, because it basically encourages you to go all-out after activating your Arc Staff. The more your flail, the more damage you do. Go nuts.
Armor Perks:
Synapse Junctions
- Quick successive attacks with Arc Staff increase its damage output and duration.
Plasteel Reinforcement Mod
- Increased Resilience.
Restorative Mod
- Increased Health Recovery.
Titan Armor: Doom Fang Pauldron
Please look at this Pauldron, and then tell us you need a reason to buy and equip it. This is by far one of the coolest-looking pieces of gear in the game, and even if it had zero utility it'd be worth equipping to strut around the Tower.
Those fangs to have a purpose, though, and you're meant to use them. Your various melee kills will charge your super and sentinel shield, respectively. Your enemies will know not to get within arms reach of you when the see these teeth bearing down.
Armor Perks:
Horns of Doom
- Shield Bash melee kills recharge Shield Throw. Melee ability kills recharge Sentinel Shield Super.
Plasteel Reinforcement Mod
- Increased Resilience.
Restorative Mod
- Increased Health Recovery.
Warlock Armor: Winter's Guile
Whomp whomp. The Warlock's pick for armor this weekend isn't so hot. Let's be honest: It looks really boring -- far from exotic -- and it doesn't have the most useful perks, either. Its main boon is that it increases melee damage upon melee kills, which no one is going to get excited about. Who sends in a Warlock to tank?
Armor Perks:
Warlord's Sigil
- Eliminating enemies with melee attacks increases your melee damage.
Mobility Enhancement Mod
- Increased Mobility
Plasteel Reinforcement Mod
- Increased Resilience.
Are you going to be picking up that sweet auto-rifle this weekend for the raid? Let us know in the poll below!
