Apparently dreams do come true if said dreams revolve around seeing our favourite non-plumber Mario in a wedding dress. At least in Super Mario Odyssey. Apparently the wedding line for some our Nintendo favs in the amiibo-verse hides a few secrets, in this case; very pretty ones.

The discovery of this interesting little tidbit comes from YouTuber 'FamilyGamerTV' after they got their hands on a few pieces from the upcoming line. The two received were the Mario and Peach amiibos and the packaging for Peach herself revealed the interesting way Mario can get in touch with his princess side.

As far as the line itself goes, here are the perks to unlocking the wedding line in the world of Super Mario Odyssey:

  • Mario Wedding Outfit
    • Unique outfit plus temporary invincibility
  • Peach Wedding Outfit
    • Unique outfit plus a Life-Up Heart
  • Bowser Wedding Outfit
    • Unique outfit plus location of regional coins

No word if Mario would retain his buffs or assume Peach's special unlocks when dawning the pretty dress, but the image in the screenshot above shows Mario in all of his flowing gown glory. That's enough for us.

For those unaware of what the Super Mario Odyssey brings to the table:

"Use amazing new abilities—like the power to capture and control objects, animals, and enemies—to collect Power Moons so you can power up the Odyssey airship and save Princess Peach from Bowser's wedding plans!

Thanks to heroic, hat-shaped Cappy, Mario's got new moves that'll make you rethink his traditional run-and-jump gameplay—like cap jump, cap throw, and capture. Use captured cohorts such as enemies, objects, and animals to progress through the game and uncover loads of hidden collectibles. And if you feel like playing with a friend, just pass them a Joy-Con controller! Player 1 controls Mario while Player 2 controls Cappy. This sandbox-style 3D Mario adventure—the first since 1996's beloved Super Mario 64 and 2002's Nintendo GameCube classic Super Mario Sunshine—is packed with secrets and surprises, plus exciting new kingdoms to explore."

Super Mario Odyssey will be available for the Nintendo Switch on October 27th.
