Sucker Punch Studios recently announced at Paris Games Week that they have a new samurai title that's on the way called Ghost of Tsushima.

The new game from the developer was an unexpected reveal during the massive PlayStation conference, but the fact that it's from the developer will likely have many more people on board with whatever its story entails. Sucker Punch has been widely acclaimed for their creation of the Infamous games, a series that was successful enough to receive quite a few continuations through new games and DLC. It's no surprise then that one of the big reveals during Paris Games Week would be come from Sucker Punch, a studio that looks as though it'll certainly take good care of Ghost of Tsushima.

It was also confirmed soon after the reveal that the game would be an open-world title, a trend that falls in line with many games as of late. A release date from Sucker Punch and PlayStation has not been provided for Ghost of Tsushima at this time. However, we can take away some information about the exciting new Sucker Punch title that was provided through a brief synopsis provided by Sony. The full description of the game so far can be found below:

"The year is 1274. Samurai warriors are the legendary defenders of Japan — until the fearsome Mongol Empire invades the island of Tsushima, wreaking havoc and conquering the local population. As one of the last surviving samurai, you rise from the ashes to fight back. But, honorable tactics won't lead you to victory. You must move beyond your samurai traditions to forge a new way of fighting — the way of the Ghost — as you wage an unconventional war for the freedom of Japan."
